"Soulful, honest, heartfelt lyrics and delicious harmonies", with "shades of Aretha and Nora Jones", Saturday is based around a pentatonic melodic structure (as in traditional Scottish music - think 'Auld Langs Eyne') but with a "gorgeously restrained" bluesy feel, it feels like something traditional striving to be a little less so.
